Zukunftstag
The "Zukunftstag" (engl. Future Day) is an event held at high schools in Germany, where students participate in four distinct workshops covering the essentials of taxes, insurance, finance, and renting. Our mission is to bridge the gap between traditional education and practical financial knowledge. This initiative was inspired by feedback from former students who felt that high schools often lack comprehensive financial education and adequate preparation for independent living.

In 2019, I collaborated with founders Lorenzo Wienecke and Juri Galkin to develop a comprehensive framework for workshops. We recognized that high school graduates often face challenges in securing their first apartment, obtaining the right insurance, understanding taxes, and managing their finances—essential skills that are not typically covered in school.
Based on these four key points, we devised a strategy to enlist four industry professionals, each specializing in a different area relevant to high school graduates. For every event, we sought to secure a Lawyer, a Real Estate Agent, a Tax Advisor, and an Insurance Agent. Additionally, we prepared a detailed outline of the topics and potential challenges that the guest speakers would address. These professionals are also committed to providing ongoing support and guidance to the students beyond the workshop, offering them valuable contacts for when they transition into independent living.
After assisting with the development of the strategy and framework, I continued to support the organization of “Zukunftstag” events. My responsibilities included sourcing industry professionals to advise students on their respective fields and coordinating the scheduling and logistics of the events with school representatives. Due to the unforeseen pandemic in 2020, we adapted by hosting and managing all events online.
At this point, the “Zukunftstag” has been hosted at over 1,000 high schools across Germany, establishing itself as one of the most significant financial education workshops.

I recently returned to Germany and have taken on the role of managing Zukunftstag events across schools in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. My primary responsibilities include coordinating speakers, teachers, and students to ensure the events run smoothly. Additionally, I deliver the introductory presentation to all attendees. In cases where speakers are unavailable, I step in to lead workshops on Finance, Tax, or Rent, each lasting one hour.
